I wasn't always the dog who shows up for others. There was a time when I was the one shaking under the bench, the one staring at the door, the one who didn't know how to sit with what I was feeling. Living through hardship didn't just happen to me — it shaped me. It taught me that pain isn't the end of the story, it's the chapter where you find out what you're made of. Every hard day I survived became a tool I could hand to the next dog going through it, and that's how this started — not with a plan, but with a promise that no dog should have to figure it out alone.

Every dog who comes to me teaches me something I didn't know I needed to learn. That's the secret nobody tells you about peer support — it's never one-sided. When I sit with a dog who's hurting, I'm not just giving, I'm growing. When I teach the pause or the grounding sniff or the art of being still, I'm reminding myself of those lessons too. We don't heal alone and we don't grow alone. Every nose through the fence, every shoulder lean, every quiet moment in the grass — it changes both dogs, every single time.
